Getting in Touch With That
Here,…… In the plus coiumn, Huang Yi Min's series of acrylic paintings on paper combines memory and fantasy in complex amalgams of ancient and modern images. Drawing on recollections of her life in Beijing, the artist creates a fascinating dream world peopled by archetypes, while at the same time referring to specific observations of people, places and things.

The 2005 "Forbidden City Freedom Series" received The New York Times' commentary and critic Helen A. Harrison's brief yet insightful words illuminated my life. She knows me too well, just as I thought! I believe I have a strong resonance with the elite art world in the United States, and I am very satisfied with my continuous learning in the New York art world. I am very lucky to have come to the World Art Center in New York!
