               Artists biography

               Huang Yi min was born in Shanghai, China in 1950. Graduated

                 from the Fine Arts Department of Beijing Normal University, In 1997,

 she immigrated to the United States as an outstanding talent.


 At the age of 16, Huang experienced a decade long Cultural


Revolution, which interrupted her studies and led to widespread


rejection of Chinese cultural traditions in society. But while working as


a farmer in the fields, she also practices and experiences art, lifelong


learning, and loves traditional culture.


After graduating from university, she worked as an art editor at


China Children's Publishing House, constantly drawing character


sketches and landscape paintings, forming a surrealist style based on


tradition. The performance scene is chosen at the intersection of the


famous Ming Dynasty imperial palace complex "Forbidden City" in


Beijing and ordinary residential buildings, where emotional expression


and imagination have been carried out for nearly 20 years. These works


received reviews from The  and were awarded the


"Anna Walinska Academic Achievement Award” in the United States.


The works have been collected by the directors and private


collectors of the Singapore Museum of Art, Hong Kong Museum of Art,


Singapore Sibin Art Gallery, New York Crystal Art Foundation, New


York Chinese Gallery, Director of the Newark Museum of Art and


Private Collections.
